The Nobel Peace Prize Forum | Minneapolis was held in September 2017 with the theme “Dialogue in Divided Societies.” It’s division that exists everywhere. The feeling that we don’t understand our neighbors or family. The division that exists between classes, races, and genders. And reading the news, seeing all of these problems, can feel overwhelming.
But there are ways to get involved and ways to start making a difference.
Listen to the last podcast in the Ideas | Action series. A summary of some of the people I met while at the forum with a variety of ideas on how to get started.
Hear from Charlene Bearhead, an indigenous educator. Isabel Perez Dobarro and Tasya Kamila, artists making a difference with Arts Twenty-Thirty. Amro Salam, architect of an emergency-ready shelter called the Hex House. Ann Bancroft and Krushnaa Patil, adventurous explorers on the Access Water team. And the band Cienaños, promoting peace in Honduras and beyond.
You have ideas to make a difference – put them in action!
